The 23rd of april, the European Court of Justice rendered its ground breaking decision regarding the legal status of combined offers or joint offers in Belgium (click here for the Court decision). The Court ruled that the Belgian prohibition of combined offers in the Trade Practices Act does not comply with European law and that combined offers are therefore allowed in Belgian as from today.

Invitation au déjeuner-conférence: Les offres conjointes ne sont plus illicites!

Aujourd’hui, 23 avril 2009, la Cour de Justice européenne a rendu un arrêt important qui met fin, avec effet immédiat, à l’interdiction belge de faire des offres conjointes ou ventes couplées (l’arrêt est disponible en cliquant ici). Dorénavant l’offre conjointe n’est donc plus interdite en Belgique puisque l’interdiction légale de la loi sur les pratiques du commerce est considérée par la Cour de Justice comme contraire au droit européen.

Uitnodiging voor het lunch-seminarie: Het gezamenlijk aanbod is niet langer verboden!

Vandaag, 23 april 2009, heeft het Europees Hof van Justitie een baanbrekend arrest geveld dat het verbod van gezamenlijk aanbod of koppelverkoop opheft (click hier voor het arrest). Het gezamenlijk aanbod is sinds vandaag dus niet langer verboden in België omdat de handelspraktijkenwet dienaangaande strijdig is met het Europees recht.

Graag willen wij u de gevolgen toelichten van dit arrest voor de dagelijkse praktijk. Wij nodigen u daartoe uit voor een lunch-seminarie in onze kantoren op maandag 4 mei 2009 van 12u to 14u.
